Parents Claim Hatchimals Swear In Their Sleep
Nik, 2016 is turning out to be an awful year even for kids…. with the hottest Christmas toy.
In a new CNN Money article, Hatchimals – a line of bird-like robotic toys that live in a plastic egg and “hatch” into an interactive creature for kids – is one of the most sought after toy for kids.
The toy has the ability to make noises, repeat words and phrases taught by humans and even respond to touch.
Recently, customers started complaining with many claiming the toy never “hatched” once opened.
Now things got even worse this week when customers accused the toy of spouting “f*ck me” at kids. Angry parents began uploading videos online to show the toy cursing while it was in sleep mode. They said their kids did not teach the toy the phrase.
Spin Master – the company behind the toy – denied their Hatchimals were cursing at children. They explained the toy communicates by speaking their own unique language, which is made up of random sounds and other noises.
A spokesperson for Spin Master said, “We can assure consumers that Hatchimals do not curse, nor do they use foul language.”
Here’s to 2017 not sucking for us all.
